Things I Dig // Ferm Living

Scandinavian housewares shop and longtime object of my affection FERM Living released their Autumn/Winter 2014 collection this past week. They seem pretty on trend with bare leather, triangles (there’s that geometry again!) and brass. Brass is everywhere right now, man.  These are a few of my favorites. At first the ladder confounded me, until I realized it would make a splendid edition to a super minimalist bathroom as a towel rack. I’ve never really been able to justify spending any money from FERM. This is probably also one of those times.

While we’re in that neighborhood, a new subscription service is coming out {Skandicrush} this time just for Scandinavian housewares by well-known, top dollar brands, for $50/mo. Kinda steep for my income, but I’m dyyying over it. I am thinking about doing a one time box, just to see what delicious goodies are inside. Although Alan is flat-out opposed to it because the name is too similar to Candy Crush. And.. He’s not wrong.  h/t Door Sixteen

Things I Dig // Rocks, Man

I’ll admit I didn’t get it when the “geometry” trend rolled out a little while back. I call it that because I don’t know what else to call it. Simple shapes you got taught in kindergarten were no longer “cool.” No, it’s all about polygons now. I didn’t get it, but I sure love it now. Now lots of things in my house are multi-facted and while I always favor symmetry over all, I’ve really taken a liking to rough gems. Many of these things have been on my wishlist for a long time. (I actually received the wall calendar the other day and I’m pretty excited to use it). Check it!
