Summer is upon us, friends! It’s going to get into the 90s tomorrow and I suddenly realized this week that I have a whole bunch of baby clothes with long sleeves and closed feet. Not a good look for hot temps. That was actually a fun realization because I legit love to buy baby clothes. Gosh. Alex is better dressed than I am x1000. Like the spring “capsule”, I went with a lot of basics for everyday wear but peppered it in with a few really fun/cute/statement pieces. Here is another typically colorless collection that I tried hard to keep in the gender neutral realm but it might be my own bias against “girly” clothes that makes this lean more towards the “boyish” side. And how dumb that those signifiers are present so early on, right? Ughhhh.
Sidenote: the very concept of a summer wardrobe for baby is kinda laughable, especially since babies are the one demographic who can get away with wearing basically nothing all the time. In fact, many times I tell Alex “you don’t have to wear pants, but I think you’ll be more comfortable this way.” But, we have places to go this summer and Alex aims to impress.
p.s. Spring Wardrobe for Baby still has a few pieces that’ll be super fun and cute for summer.
